“Let’s get messy… life isn’t scripted. Feed into your work and see what happens.” A mantra most artists can live by, for Amy Hallberg this was the jumping off point for her adventures as a writer almost 31 years ago while she was working with a COMPAS Teaching Artist at Prior Lake High School. A picture is worth a thousand words. For Mike Hazard, or more formally known as Media Mike, it’s worth a 1,000 stories. He has been clicking his camera with COMPAS since 1979 and creating beautiful images ever since!

Could it be that fall is upon us? The seasons are changing, which is either a good thing or a bad thing, depending on who you ask. For us at COMPAS and all our Teaching Artists we are ecstatic about the new season and new creative opportunities. What were we up to in the last month of summer?
