From Worthington to Roseau, COMPAS Teaching Artists work their magic with students throughout Minnesota, inspiring them to find their voice and surprise themselves—creating stunning songs, poems, short stories, and spoken word pieces in the process.

Each year COMPAS collects some of the best student writing and publishes them in an Anthology. We've published 37 over the decades and can't wait to see what today's youth will add to the collective voice of Minnesota students.

Our most recent anthology, A Bird That Swims & Flies, features work from each Minnesota school to host a COMPAS teaching writer-in-residence during the 2015-2016 school year as part of the Creative Classroom program. Check it out below!
