A Grand Collaboration with COMPAS

This month, Minnesota's capitol priemered a glossy new finish that included a three day celebration! COMPAS had the great honor of collaborating in the State Capitol's grand festivities. On August 11th, 12th, and 13th six different COMPAS Teaching Artists and their groups performed for thousands of Minnesotans over the jam packed weekend. Visitors got the chance to experience multiple genres of dance. From Haiti to West Africa, Spain to Brazil, Indonesia to Mexico, everyone was getting down over the three fun-filled days.

Catch a glimpse of the grand opening fun with this video of Haitian dance group Afoutayi led by COMPAS Teaching Artist Djenane Saint Juste dancing with the crowd.

A huge thank you to the State Capitol and the Commissioner’s Office for including us in this once in a lifetime event!

As a new school year begins...

We want to say good luck and thank you to all the passionate educators heading back to the classroom. Your love for teaching and pioneering a positive new generation is something we at COMPAS do not take lightly. We can't wait to collaborate with you this year!
