Youth Spoken Word Showcases

In January 2025, COMPAS launched its first Youth Spoken Word Showcase, introducing a new program that helps young people discover and share their voices through poetry and performance.

Students participate in in-school residencies and community workshops led by COMPAS literary Teaching Artists, where they develop their writing, performance skills, and confidence. These experiences culminate in public showcases that connect youth from across the metro area through the power of spoken word.
