Prior to joining COMPAS as a staff member, Sam served on the board of directors and as a volunteer brand strategist. She is the founder of Samalot Media, a communication strategy and content production consultancy. Her previous experience includes serving as the Director of Communications for the University of Minnesota Alumni Association and as the Director of Brand Strategy for Pixel Farm, a multi-disciplinary creative studio. She received her BA in English at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and studied Technical and Professional Communication at Minnesota State University-Mankato.
