2025 COMPAS Anthology Celebration

Join us for an inspiring afternoon as we unveil the 46th edition of the COMPAS Anthology, One Blue Marble, showcasing the powerful voices of young writers from across Minnesota.

Each piece in this collection was crafted by students who participated in a COMPAS writing residency, guided by professional Teaching Artists.

Step into a celebration of imagination, resilience, and the art of storytelling, where you will:

  • Pick up a copy of the 2025 COMPAS Anthology, One Blue Marble
  • Hear students read their published work
  • Experience the creativity and passion of Minnesota’s youth
  • Celebrate the winners of the Lillian Wright Awards for literary achievement among young writers in the COMPAS Creative Classroom Program

Parking

Daily parking is $6. Members receive a discounted rate of $4 when they show their card. Event rates may apply for special programs or when events occur downtown.

Limited handicapped parking is available free of charge (with permit) at the parking meters when you pull into the History Center drive.

Public transportation

Metro Transit bus routes 16, 21, and 94 stop near the History Center. We are approximately a 10-minute walk from the Capitol/Rice Street light rail station. Please visit the Metro Transit website for detailed information.
