Roderic Hernub Southall

Roderich is a Black man with neatly groomed dreadlocks and a crips black utility shirt.

Roderic has been on the COMPAS board since 2008 and is currently a COMPAS Emeritus Board member. As a former President of the Board of Directors, he stays connected to the mission of COMPAS by being a member of the Governance Committee, which is responsible for recruiting and retaining board members.

Roderic is currently the Senior Equal Opportunity Consultant at the Metropolitan Council and a social rights advocate. He has been involved in many art exhibitions including Hands Up Don’t Shoot—HER. He also co-curated Faith [In]Action? This was a sister exhibition at the United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities. Roderic also works with Obsidian Arts Inc., which seeks to give a larger platform for black artists working in Minnesota.
