Miriam (Mimi) Stake

Vice President, Development Committee Chair • She/Her/Hers

Miriam ( Mimi ) M Stake was born in Quito Ecuador, raised in Philadelphia and has lived in Minnesota for the past 20 years. She came to Minnesota originally after graduating from the University of Delaware in Chemical Engineering. She worked at 3M as a product development engineer and later in marketing management. After more than 10 years in the Occupational Safety market she chose to take a leave of absence for her spouse’s overseas assignment. The assignments extended for 12 years which required her to retired early. The experience of living in Belgium, Italy and Venezuela allowed Mimi to pursue her strong interests in environmental education, art & art history and language study. She enjoys tennis, golf, sports of all kinds as well as theater and music. Her passion for creative learning experiences and supporting organizations that provide this opportunity is what led Mimi to COMPAS. She has been part of the COMPAS Board for over 10 years.
