Dr. Jack Fistler brings extensive experience as a fundraising professional for higher education and nonprofit organizations to board service with COMPAS. He has over 35 years’ experience in all areas of fundraising, alumni and external relations for higher education, development consulting for nonprofit organizations, and nonprofit volunteer roles. Jack’s progressive experience included roles at University of Minnesota Foundation, Michigan State University, Colorado School of Mines and Wright State University (OH). In 2003, he began The Fistler Group, providing fundraising consulting for nonprofit organizations.
Jack is committed to education, the arts and environmental and conservation advocacy groups. In addition to COMPAS, he serves on committees with Bach Society of Minnesota, and Voyageurs Conservancy. He holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education from Michigan State University, Masters in History from University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and a BS from Wartburg College in History and English.
A native of Iowa, Jack, his wife Amy, and their two grown daughters and their families all live in St. Paul.
