Pauline Moll (she/her) holds a BA in Theater from Northwestern University and an MA in Dance/Movement Therapy from Antioch University New England. She is an alum of Up with People and a multiple-year fellow of The Heart of It Writing Retreat.
Through teaching and performance, Pauline has brought the arts to many settings including elementary, middle, and high schools; universities; hospitals; nursing homes; day centers for adults with developmental and physical disabilities; theaters; studios; community organizing spaces; and arts organizations across the United States, Mexico, and Scandinavia. She also uses the arts in facilitation for social justice and strategic planning. Pauline is bilingual as a heritage Spanish speaker.
More About the Artist
With warmth, collaboration, and a healthy dose of mischief, she guides participants gently in the process of (re)connecting to our bodies and to each other. She uses creative movement, stretching, games, theater, and dance to create energy, self-awareness, awareness of others, and self-expression.
Program Offerings
Residency
The Bodytalks
This residency-length artistic experience explores movement from internal noticing all the way to meaning-making. With Pauline’s guidance, participants will identify and explore how their bodies feel (interoception) and move (proprioception). Then, participants will practice different ways of moving with each other, exploring which ways of moving create connection or disconnection. In later sessions, participants will use this knowledge to create expressive movement together to tell a story or explore a theme.
People who can notice internal states can better understand their own boundaries, desires, and responses to the world; people who have access to different ways of moving with others can access consent-based and collaborative relationships. Our bodies are a powerful way to tell and make sense of our stories.
Workshop
The Bodytalks
With Pauline’s guidance, participants will identify and explore how their bodies feel (interoception) and move (proprioception). While a whole workshop can be spent on this rich personal experience, participants will also practice different ways of moving with each other, if desired, to explore which ways of moving create connection or disconnection.
People who can notice internal states can better understand their own boundaries, desires, and responses to the world; people who have access to different ways of moving with others can access consent-based and collaborative relationships.
