Yvette has been a part of the Board of Directors since 2008. She is a professor at Minneapolis Community and Technical College where she teaches courses in nutrition, health, change and stress management. She is also the Special Assistant to the President for Diversity and Anti-Racism Initiatives.
Originally from the island of St. Kitts in the Caribbean, Yvette began her education in Canada, and has studied in Puerto Rico and the U. S. She received her master’s degree in human ecology from Howard University. Her love for education is apparent and brings inspiration to our board and mission.
