United Arts Fund Grants

For 56 years, United Arts Fund — a program of COMPAS—has been an important source of support for arts organizations. Money raised through workplace giving campaigns and individual donors help change lives through the arts in 2 ways: by funding specific residencies in schools and community organizations (School Arts Fund & Greater Minnesota School Arts Fund); and by helping community-based arts organizations with general operating support to engage communities in creating art (General Operating Fund). For FY2011 United Arts awarded $200,842.90 to 34 arts organizations. Check out the grantee list — you can learn about each organization in a variety of ways!

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT UAF GRANT PROGRAMS!

United Arts Fund grant program guidelines, application, and review process are currently being revised in the context of COMPAS strategic planning and priorities.  In response to applicant, grantee, and panelist feedback, we also are going to consolidate some programs and shorten our grant making review timelines. 

COMPAS will post revised guidelines, review criteria, and applications during the week of October 18^th.  Technical assistance for applicants will be available at that time and throughout the application process.  We also anticipate holding applicant information meetings in early November. 

Submission deadlines for all COMPAS / General Fund programs will be in mid-January 2011.

Grant decisions will be made by May 15, 2011.
