SCHOOL ARTS FUND OVERVIEW

The COMPAS mission is to strengthen people and communities in Minnesota by engaging them in creating art.

The School Arts Fund supports partnerships in the 12-county Twin Cites metro area that use the arts to strengthen curriculum in schools, kindergarten-12th grade. The School Arts Fund is funded by United Arts, a program of COMPAS that raises money for arts organizations through workplace-giving campaigns.

Program Goals
The School Arts Fund enhances the development and growth of relationships between schools and arts organizations, increasing the quality of students’ education. The arts play an ever-expanding role in education. All students, regardless of economic background, neighborhood, or any social barrier should have access to art in their education.

Grant Application Process
Any new or existing collaborative efforts, projects, activities, or programs that demonstrate the value of the arts in curriculum will be considered on an annual basis.

Apply for up to $5,000.
