GRANT PROGRAMS OVERVIEW.....

COMPAS helps support the creation of art in communities across Minnesota through its granting programs. With funds raised by United Arts—a workplace-giving campaign conducted in Twin Cities places of employment—and through partnerships with corporate and foundation philanthropic sources, COMPAS supports arts organizations' work in schools and communities. Below is a brief description of each COMPAS grant program.

3M AWARD FOR INNOVATION IN THE ARTS honors creative approaches to arts education and outreach.

COMMUNITY ART PROGRAM (CAP), through the McKnight Foundation, provides grants for neighborhood arts projects. Deadline June 20, 2008

MEDTRONIC ARTS ACCESS PROGRAM promotes cross-cultural understanding and offers increased accessibility to the arts.

UNITED ARTS GRANTS:

GENERAL FUND provides resources for established arts organizations striving to reach new audiences.

SCHOOL ARTS FUND supports partnerships between schools and community arts organizations.
