Join us in Lowell and Cay Shea Hellervik’s Landmark Towers home overlooking Rice Park in St. Paul. Feast on delicious Irish hors d’oeuvres donated by Kieran Folliard and The Liffey Irish Pub while listening to COMPAS artists Ross Sutter and Laura MacKenzie perform traditional Irish music with pipes, flutes, whistles, concertina, and Irish drum.

NEW UNITED ARTS DIRECTOR ANNOUNCED

Daniel Adolphson, United Arts Workplace Campaign Director

Daniel Adolphson is the new United Arts Workplace Campaign Director, replacing Eliza Hoyt who now works for Hope Community in Minneapolis. Dan, the Education, Group Sales & IT Manager for the History Theatre, brings a background in the arts, education, and sales to the position. He will start his new job in March.

ArtsWork Summer 2007 Apprentice Application Deadline: March 2, 2007

ArtsWork, COMPAS’ youth employment program, is seeking applications for its seventh summer. Young artists ages 14-21, who demonstrate talent and skill in their artistic disciplines, are encouraged to apply. The 6-week program will take place in various sites in Saint Paul and, for the first time, in Minneapolis. We will employ approximately 70 youth as Apprentice Artists from June 18 to July 27, 2007.

POINTS FORWARD CAMPAIGN

We have reached over 80% of the $1.2 million Points Forward Campaign goal that will allow us to expand our WAITS and ArtsWork programs, launch an Arts In Heath Care demonstration project, strengthen our endowment, and develop earned income ventures. One of our recent awards was a $100,000 3-year grant from the Bush Foundation.
