What is ArtsWork?
ArtsWork is a youth employment program for young persons in the Twin Cities who are hired during the summer months as Apprentice Artists and are mentored by professional artists.

Who does ArtsWork serve?
ArtsWork offers work and artistic development opportunities to aspiring artists, ages 14 through 21.

Who helps support ArtsWork?
ArtsWork is sponsored by a number of Twin Cities corporations and by individual donors to COMPAS. Dollars raised from the sale of completed ArtsWork projects also help support the program.

Guiding each apprentice artist's discovery of new artistic abilities is an objective for ArtsWork. Equally important for each apprentice are new opportunities to:

• gain vocational skills such as time-management and teamwork.
• sharpen social skills by interacting with others.
• increase confidence.
• broaden understanding of different cultures.
