What is Arts Education at COMPAS?
COMPAS Arts Education programs provide people with opportunities to make art with the help of professional artists of all disciplines. These programs link people of all ages with new ideas and new ways of looking at the world. COMPAS youth programs may be school-based or extra curricular.
Writers & Artists in the Schools (WAITS) is the most extensive and longest-running residency program in Minnesota, with a very diverse roster of teaching artists and writers. WAITS brings artists from many art forms and cultural backgrounds into schools for residencies.

Global Arts & Culture are assembly presentations and community, parent and family workshops in schools and community settings. Multicultural perspectives in arts programming also offer the opportunity to achieve a truly cross-disciplinary approach to education.
