A board member since 2006, Dr. Louis Porter II graduated from Boston University with his bachelor’s in journalism and earned his Master’s in Liberal Arts Studies in writing from Hamline University. He has a doctorate in organizational development form the University of St. Thomas. Since 1999, he has been the president of LPII Communications and Development, which is a highly sought-after communications consulting practice.

Porter has also worked for the Pioneer Press as a reporter and has been a professor at various Minnesota colleges and universities, including the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. Dr. Porter is also a member of the COMPAS Artist Roster, and offers school residencies on memoir and poetry writing.
