Join Teaching Artist Tou SaiKo Lee at Sun Ray Library for Hip Hop & Spoken Word! Through these artforms students’ are given a voice that can inspire, move and provoke change. With an emphasis on storytelling, content and poetry, participants will be engaged into Spoken Word and Hip Hop song writing through movement activities, creative writing, performance poetry with cultural references and energetic hip hop with a message. The program will cover ways we can make impacts on social issues through our words and representing our identity by Rockin' the Mic to nurture dynamic writers and performers.
