Join Teaching Artist Aimee Bryant at Northwest Como Rec Center for a week-long improv workshop! What does it take to be an actor? We already have all the tools we need: our minds, bodies, and voices! In these dynamic classes, explore the actor's toolbox and learn how to tell stories with your whole self. Through a fun combination of improv and theatre games participants will learn the building blocks of theatre as well as self-confidence which will be utilized long after these classes end.

Aimee is an artist of many trades; a professional actor, singer, songwriter, poet, dancer and choreographer, she approaches creativity from an organic aesthetic. She has been performing in the Twin Cities for the last 20 years. Some of her professional highlights include Beneatha in A Raisin in the Sun, Ensemble Member in For Colored Girls and Black Nativity, as well as Sarah in Ragtime and Marian the Librarian in The Music Man. City Pages named Aimee the Best Actress of 2015. Her original music can be heard on her debut CD “Becoming”.
