We're excited to announce 16 new artists are joining our roster of over 100 individual teaching artists and performing groups. From puppeteers and storytellers, to metal sculptors and song producers, these teaching artists are ready to unleash creativity in people all across Minnesota!

New artists include Bart Buch (Puppetry), Beverly Cottman (Storyteller), Caley Vickerman (Guerilla Haiku), Copper Street Brass (Music), Dylan Fresco (Theater & Music), Ensō Daiko (Music), Give Get Sistet (Music), Glenda Reed (Literary-nonfiction and storytelling), Joy Spika (Visual Arts, Multi-Media and Murals), Lauren Carlson (Poetry),  MaLLy (Spoken Word), Maret Polzine (Animation), Melodee Strong (Murals and illustration),  Mike Arturi (Drumming), Sara Hanson (Metal Sculpture), and Stefon “Bionik” Taylor (Song Production).

New artists were selected from a competitive pool of applicants as part of a biennial call for artists, and will join a roster of professional teaching artists that cross all genres of artistic expression. COMPAS teaching artists teach residencies and offer performances and workshops at schools and program sites across Minnesota.

Artists are selected based on artistic ability and teaching experience and skills, and participate in ongoing professional development during their time on the roster. COMPAS strives to have an artist roster than showcases the incredible diversity of artistic expression and cultural backgrounds in Minnesota.
