Creative Conversations withe Leo and Kathy Lara
Leo and Katy Lara have been performing in the Midwest since 1979. They have traveled all over Minnesota to bring Latin American music and traditions to hundreds of participants. Family Pride at the Walker Art Center
Fiona Avocado visited the Walker Art Center this month for their Family Pride event! She worked with participants to draw and create a portrait of what their family looks like. Fiona Avocado is a cartoonist, zinester, illustrator, printmaker, and media maker. She has been self publishing comics and zines since 2010, and working as a printmaker since 2012.
Maker Fest at Rondo Library
Three amazing Teaching Artists led some creative workshops at Rondo Library for the Maker Fest. Mica Anders was making animal masks, Kelley Meister created mini-movies and Benjamin Domask taught juggling. Needless to say it was an eventful day!
