COMPAS Impact Report - Fiscal Year 2016

This is a story about Ayaan. She is 14, and immigrated to Minnesota with her family last fall. This is a story about Cristina. She escaped homelessness and is working on building a better life. This is a story about Lawrence. He was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's, and is preparing for his new life in a memory care center.

We invite you to see the whole story in our fiscal year 2016 annual report!

It is the story of the positive impact you have on thousands of individuals and hundreds of communities across our State. Impact that can change a life…

“I feel like I’ve become more confident as a result of this program. I feel at home here.”
-Tou Change, ArtsWork student apprentice

“Several students who have struggled with some of the academic components were able to shine and be super stars during Shakun’s workshop. It was a wonderful experience!”
-Teacher, Harambee Elementary School, after a Creative Classroom program

“I want to thank you guys so much for coming here. This has made a huge difference for me. I’m still really new to this memory care loss thing, and for the most part I’ve really just been angry… so angry that this happened to me. My brain has been everything, it’s who I am, and I just haven’t really known how to deal with this. You coming here today, bringing this art project, let me go back to who I am.”
