What is ArtsWork? ArtsWork is a youth employment program for young ages 14-21 persons in the Twin Cities. ArtsWork will run from June 21 July 30, 2010.
Youth are employed and work in groups of 10 as Apprentices under the direction of a Mentor Artist. Sites are based throughout the Twin Cities, depending on the artist and the art form.
Guiding each apprentice artist's discovery of new artistic abilities is an objective for ArtsWork. Equally important for each apprentice are new opportunities to: • earn money while learning job skills such as time-management and teamwork • learn and practice a new arts skill • meet new people Who helps support ArtsWork? We ALWAYS need your help in making ArtsWork happen! ArtsWork is sponsored by a number of Twin Cities corporations and by individual donors to COMPAS. Dollars raised from the sale of completed ArtsWork projects also help support the program. | | Notes About ArtsWork
