Artistic Director Maria DuBois Genné founded Kairos Dance Theatre in 1999. Kairos (from the Greek, meaning the open moment), is a dance company spanning four generations, ranging in age from six to ninety-one years old. Kairos’ groundbreaking dance, music and storytelling program contributes to physical, emotional, cognitive and social well being by providing in-depth opportunities for artistic development, physical activity and community connection.Community BuildingType: Professional Development Maria DuBois Genné and storyteller Carla Vogel introduce a practical way to integrate dance and storytelling into curriculum, including how to get older adults involved from the community. They offer research about the value of dance and information about intergenerational programs throughout the US and Great Britain. They can customize this program to meet your needs.
