Christopher has over 30 years of dance training and performance experience worldwide. He has taught thousands of people of all ages dances that are simple, enjoyable and support a successful experience with movement. Christopher is a dancer and director of Dance Hall Days, his Minneapolis based dance ensemble. Dance Hall Days celebrates American social dances from Ragtime to Rock and Roll.
Christopher has been on the COMPAS artist roster since 1987. He is currently a Dance Specialist with ArtStart and The Cowles Center for the Performing Arts. He also has ten years of creating movement experiences as a team leader for the Ace Dance for Educators programs offered through the Perpich Center.

Christopher teaches popular American dance styles from various moments in American history. Learn how to dance ragtime, swing and other popular fad dances of the 20th century. This is recommended as a companion workshop to the Dance Hall Days performance.

Christopher introduces educators to the tools of choreography, and the movement and dance traditions of many cultures. Workshops can focus on a variety of styles and periods which may include American, European, or Latin Social Dances. Christopher creates activities that turn dance into a community happening and deepen connections to our rich American heritage.
